Diverse Civil and Commercial Projects were contracted by Wakefield Regional Council to design a complete vacuum sewer system including 100mm connection point for each property, gravity drain, vacuum drain, pits, valves and vacuum pump station, rising main from pump station to treatment plant, and a return pumping main for recycled water to town oval. We then installed this complete vacuum sewer system with all components for full operation.

Due to the close coastal proximity, approximately a third of all excavation where performed using closed box shoring or trench shields.

Due to the high level of presence within the township and requirement to enter properties or easement, public relations was a high priority. Working closely with the council project managers and consulting engineers, problem solving and “best fit” construction enabled forward planning, amendments and progress to final commissioning of the sewer vacuum collection system.
